Welcome to Rarecoinman.com.   This website was first published in 2000, but its roots date to 1956.  That was the year I received my first blue Whitman coin folder and started collecting Lincoln cents.  One thing led to another, and now 46 years later, I'm still a coin collector.

Items for Sale...

Although I'm primarily a buyer of coins, I do occasionally have some high-quality certified coins and large size currency for sale.  Please click on the Coins For Sale button to see what I presently have to offer.  Some of the items have links on the right side of this page.

"Buy the book before the coin."  Many of us don't follow this advice, though we should, of course.  By clicking on the Books For Sale button you'll have a chance to buy Montroville W. Dickeson's classic 19th Century manual (and a few less expensive items).  I've also included my views on some of the other coin literature available on the market.

Things to Look At...

If you don't want to buy anything, click on the Articles button to read about coins.  Some of these stories are interesting and informative; others are written by me.  If you're bored, read the golf jokes.

The best feature of this site is the collection of Links to other numismatic sites.  They're guaranteed to take you away from this site, and all of these destinations are excellent.  My biased assessments are included.

I've also included a page of Ads.  No one is paying me for these (yet), but some of the logos are quite attractive.  These ads also include hyperlinks to other numismatic sites.

About Us...

You can meet the principals of Rarecoinman, Ltd. by clicking on The Staff.  I've included a photo of the full team.  (There's also a link to Readers' Comments, some of which are seriously weird.)  Please direct employment inquiries to the Webmaster.

Let me know what you think.
